Dr. Energy Saver dis a great job insulating my Ridgefield home. We had a huge opening in the walls all along the front of the house that was hidden under a big 4 foot wide soffit.  They identified it with their blower door test and when they did the work, we saw how big of a continuous hole in the wall we had up there - no wonder the rooms were drafty and cold. I will recommend them to my family and friends.

We had multiple attics sprayed with insulation (we have hydro-air heat with blowers in each attic) ... I keep close track of oil consumption (normalized to degree days), and it is clear that this work resulted in 30% reduction in oil consumption ... You guys did a bunch of insulation work in our house in Darien over the summer. I just wanted to tell you how fantastic it has turned out for us.   I noticed it in the summer with the AC being able to run quite a bit less, but it's really noticeable right now. The house is actually warm, the floors are warm, and my basement that doesn't actually have any heat in it is totally usable.  You've made my 98 year old house absolutely wonderful and I can't thank you enough for that. But seriously, thank you thank you thank you!

As a first time customer of Dr. Energy Saver I was skeptical. The testing and assessment of the of the house was impressive. It showed me exactly what points of air leakage I had in my house. Of course I knew my house was drafty, but I had no way to quantify it. I was originally looking for someone to insulate the two rooms over my garage that have been cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I assumed it was due to lack of proper insulation. While this was true it was not the whole story. Yes I could have had some one just blow some insulation. But I had trouble finding someone who could adequately address this issue and explain the various options available to me. My wife is a big fan of HGTV and Holmes on Homes. His motto, "do it right" is one I agree with fully. If an estimate given is reasonable, and there is a better way to do it, based on your experience, I want to know about it. Then I can make a decision to do it or not. If spending a little more will give me much better results that is worth the extra cost. Too often, contractors just respond to what the homeowner requests without offering options. After all you, as the contractor, should be the expert and should be providing expert advise in addition to your service. That is what I found from you and your team; the ability to explain the options fully, make a recommendation and a cost estimate that is reasonable. Yes it was more expensive than I planned, but I got so much more for it. The results are extraordinary, we had a few cold days after the work was done, and I saw the results immediately. The heat just didn't turn on. At first I thought I just forgot to turn it on after the workmen left, but it was on. During the night I woke expecting the heat to kick on but it didn't yet the house was warm and comfortable. When the heat did go on due to all the work done on my ductwork and attic, the system was quieter than it had been in in our seven years in this house. The system always seemed noisy and unbalanced. Well that was because the ducts were not properly sealed and the insulation was not properly installed. When you add that to the air sealing process, I could heat the house with a candle. I am looking forward to this summer to see how much cooler my house stays with a more efficient and better insulated cooling system to maintain my comfort. I will be tracking my energy usage to determine the actual savings, but I am confident just from these few weeks of experience. It is like a tune up for the whole house. Larry, thanks for taking interest in our home and in teaching us how to be more energy efficient. As energy costs rise and concern about depleting resources increase, it is good to know that there are environmentally conscience business leaders like your self that build a business model to support advances in this space. Relying on building codes and governmental agencies is not the answer, Dr. Energy Saver is.

Dr Energy Saver came Highly reccomended to me from my neighbors, who had prior quality work done in their Fairfield homes. The representative that came out to meet with me was great! The crew who came to our home to air seal and insulate our garage, attic and cantilever did great work!

I wanted to say thank you for all your help. I was a little hesitant but there’s a big, big, big difference in the house with the cold weather. We haven’t even turned the heat on yet. Hi Steve,   Thank you so much for following up on me. The Sanidry Sedona De-humidifier is working wonderfully. The guys did a very nice job and were extremely professional with that. They made sure I had my unit, pump, and tubes placed exactly where I wanted them, and they went out of their way to make sure my unit was working properly. They even helped afterwards with registering my unit, and showed me how everything worked before they left.  As you know I had a terrible experience with another company that did the previous insulation on my attic. You went out of your way to make sure you answered all my questions and you definitely earned my trust. You were checking on me during the whole process, and even went out of your way afterwards to make sure the project was done correctly. I really couldn't thank you enough.   My attic not only looks great, but I literally do not even need to turn the heat on upstairs in my house. I put my heat on 68 degrees downstairs, and we are toasty throughout the whole house all day and night. The guys who came to do the attic were so thorough and understanding. Dr. Energy Saver showed me where I was losing the most energy in my home, which happened to be through the attic due to insufficient insulation. They installed the right amount of insulation, built a storage deck, sealed up open gaps where I was losing my heat and air conditioning, and also found and fixed a huge void that I didn't even know existed! I noticed a difference in the house by the next day. My heat was not kicking on as much and no more huge icicles hanging from my gutters! It's been 3 seasons since I had this done, and there continues to be savings and noticeable, good comfort changes in our home. Our thanks to everyone at Dr. Energy Saver.
