Dr Energy Saver came Highly reccomended to me from my neighbors, who had prior quality work done in their Fairfield homes. The representative that came out to meet with me was great! The crew who came to our home to air seal and insulate our garage, attic and cantilever did great work!

I wanted to say thank you for all your help. I was a little hesitant but there’s a big, big, big difference in the house with the cold weather. We haven’t even turned the heat on yet. We probably burned probably 50-75% less wood than the same time last year. There’s a big difference, I never thought it was that big!    

As a first time customer of Dr. Energy Saver I was skeptical. The testing and assessment of the of the house was impressive. It showed me exactly what points of air leakage I had in my house. Of course I knew my house was drafty, but I had no way to quantify it. I was originally looking for someone to insulate the two rooms over my garage that have been cold in the winter and hot in the summer. I assumed it was due to lack of proper insulation. While this was true it was not the whole story. Yes I could have had some one just blow some insulation. But I had trouble finding someone who could adequately address this issue and explain the various options available to me. My wife is a big fan of HGTV and Holmes on Homes. His motto, "do it right" is one I agree with fully. If an estimate given is reasonable, and there is a better way to do it, based on your experience, I want to know about it. Then I can make a decision to do it or not. If spending a little more will give me much better results that is worth the extra cost. Too often, contractors just respond to what the homeowner requests without offering options. After all you, as the contractor, should be the expert and should be providing expert advise in addition to your service. That is what I found from you and your team; the ability to explain the options fully, make a recommendation and a cost estimate that is reasonable. Yes it was more expensive than I planned, but I got so much more for it. The results are extraordinary, we had a few cold days after the work was done, and I saw the results immediately. The heat just didn't turn on. At first I thought I just forgot to turn it on after the workmen left, but it was on. During the night I woke expecting the heat to kick on but it didn't yet the house was warm and comfortable. When the heat did go on due to all the work done on my ductwork and attic, the system was quieter than it had been in in our seven years in this house. The system always seemed noisy and unbalanced. Well that was because the ducts were not properly sealed and the insulation was not properly installed. When you add that to the air sealing process, I could heat the house with a candle. I am looking forward to this summer to see how much cooler my house stays with a more efficient and better insulated cooling system to maintain my comfort. I will be tracking my energy usage to determine the actual savings, but I am confident just from these few weeks of experience. It is like a tune up for the whole house. Larry, thanks for taking interest in our home and in teaching us how to be more energy efficient. As energy costs rise and concern about depleting resources increase, it is good to know that there are environmentally conscience business leaders like your self that build a business model to support advances in this space. Relying on building codes and governmental agencies is not the answer, Dr. Energy Saver is.

The doctor who cam eout to my home in Shelton answered all my questions and concerns, The crew who did the work insulating and sealing my attic were professional, and did an excellent job.

Dr. Energy Saver showed me where I was losing the most energy in my home, which happened to be through the attic due to insufficient insulation. They installed the right amount of insulation, built a storage deck, sealed up open gaps where I was losing my heat and air conditioning, and also found and fixed a huge void that I didn't even know existed! I noticed a difference in the house by the next day. My heat was not kicking on as much and no more huge icicles hanging from my gutters! It's been 3 seasons since I had this done, and there continues to be savings and noticeable, good comfort changes in our home. Our thanks to everyone at Dr. Energy Saver. The team at Dr. Energy Saver does it all! I had my garage ceiling insulated to make the rooms above warmer, upgraded and insulated my ducts and sealed and insulated my basement rim joist. All that work would have taken several contractors. The install crew was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I called Dr Energy Saver to my Seymour home and hired them to air seal and insulate my attic, garage and basement because of your reputation and presentation of your website.  The job sealing the basement perimeter looks tight, and the additional insulation in the attic is impressive, all the passage ways for wiring, and vents etc. were sealed. Hi Steve,   Thank you so much for following up on me. The Sanidry Sedona De-humidifier is working wonderfully. The guys did a very nice job and were extremely professional with that. They made sure I had my unit, pump, and tubes placed exactly where I wanted them, and they went out of their way to make sure my unit was working properly. They even helped afterwards with registering my unit, and showed me how everything worked before they left.  As you know I had a terrible experience with another company that did the previous insulation on my attic. You went out of your way to make sure you answered all my questions and you definitely earned my trust. You were checking on me during the whole process, and even went out of your way afterwards to make sure the project was done correctly. I really couldn't thank you enough.   My attic not only looks great, but I literally do not even need to turn the heat on upstairs in my house. I put my heat on 68 degrees downstairs, and we are toasty throughout the whole house all day and night. The guys who came to do the attic were so thorough and understanding. The main reason we contacted Dr. Energy Saver of Connecticut is that condensation was forming on our bathroom and kitchen ceilings. When I saw the problem getting worse, I knew that we needed to improve our attic’s insulation. After speaking with representatives from Dr. Energy Saver of Connecticut, they sent a team to my house to fully assess the issue, and I was incredibly impressed with everyone I encountered. I’m always weary about having salesmen in my home. I find the majority of them pushy, but Paul Zambrano was patient, understanding, and explained everything to us in detail. When it was time for the project to begin, the production crew maintained this standard too. Clive, Gabriel, and Oneil answered all of my questions as they worked and took extra precautions to prevent damage to my hardwood floors. They masterfully insulated and air-sealed my entire attic, and when they finished their work, they took care in cleaning up. I could hardly tell they had been there at all. Now, there is no more condensation forming anywhere, and our home is definitely more comfortable than ever before. One of the biggest changes we noticed is with our thermostat. We have a Nest thermostat that gives us reports on how long our boiler runs each day. Prior to this project, our thermostat showed the boiler turning on at a maximum of 5 ½ hours per day! Since the team from Dr. Energy Saver of Connecticut visited my home, the report shows that it now runs for only 3 hours and still keeps the house warm! I never knew how uncomfortable I was in my own home until I had this work done, and now I am using my boiler 30% less than before.
