Thanks for a great job especially air sealing and insulating the closet behind a knee wall in our master bedroom. I used to have to run an electric heater in this area whenever the outside temperature went below ~20 degrees to keep the bathroom pipes from freezing. Last night the outside temperature went down to 6 degrees and the closet stayed above 50 degrees without running the heater -- we are thrilled !

the only comment I have is that when the insulation was blown in the TVs did not work and the thermostat had to be reset. I had to call Charter Cable to come up and fix the problem at a service charge from them and another technician from the company came in to redo the thermostat as I could not fix that problem because it had to be done by a technician. I was assured that the service call to the TV company would be paid for by Dr. Energy. Have not received the bill as of yet but will send it down for payment when I receive it. Otherwise the technicians were wonderful, considerate and professional.

Crawl Space Renovations in Roxbury, CT

This homeowner in Roxbury, Connecticut had an uncomfortable home due to insufficient insulation and noticed a foul odor in his basement. He had a mouse infestation problem in his basement. Wanting to solve the insufficient insulation and mouse problem he wanted to improve his basement by removing all insulation from the entire basement ceiling and the rigid foam covering the stairs and doing whatever it takes to clean out the area. Dr. Energy Saver of Connecticut knew they would be able to fix this basement and crawl space.

Prior to our work, this space was a mess. There was a terrible mouse infestation along with insufficient insulation that needed to be fixed. Our crew was able to remove the old insulation from the crawl space and the basement ceiling. After cleaning that out, we installed closed cell spray foam insulation, spray foam in the rim joist, which reduces heat loss and infiltration of cold air, applied MoldX which treats an area with approximately 2 feet high around the perimeter. All these repairs were able to give this homeowner the improvements for a healthy area he desperately desired.
