Home Insulation - Avoiding a Convective Loop
Cold ceilings and walls create a convective loop. Warm air rises, and when it reaches the cold ceiling and exterior walls, it falls to the floor, runs across the floor, and rises back up through the relatively warmer interior. When it reaches the cold ceiling again the loop continues causing a perceived draft. When Jerry is finished, this space will be comfortable and draft-free.
