Attic Hatch Cover in Granby, CT

When we arrived in this Granby home, we found that there were numerous air leaks in that attic that were causing the home to be less energy efficient. One huge source of wasted energy was the whole house fan. It was decided that we would remove the fan but keep the opening as access to the attic.  The opening was framed out to make it look finished and a cover was added.  The attic side of the cover was insulated and sealed to prevent further unnecessary and costly energy loss.  The owners of this home were both more comfortable and saved money with this attic upgrade!
