The insulation installed in this crawlspace by a previous contractor was installed improperly with air gaps and was barely attached to the actual walls of the space. This will allow moist, unconditioned air from the outside inside, and the fiberglass batts in the floor joists ended up absorbing it in this case. This is a big health concern because it may promote mold growth.
