    Customer Testimonial

Hi Steve, Thank you so much for following up on me. The Sanidry Sedona De-humidifier is working wonderfully. The guys did a very nice job and were extremely professional with that. They made sure I had my unit, pump, and tubes placed exactly where I wanted them, and they went out of their way to make sure my unit was working properly. They even helped afterwards with registering my unit, and showed me how everything worked before they left. As you know I had a terrible experience with another company that did the previous insulation on my attic. You went out of your way to make sure you answered all my questions and you definitely earned my trust. You were checking on me during the whole process, and even went out of your way afterwards to make sure the project was done correctly. I really couldn't thank you enough. My attic not only looks great, but I literally do not even need to turn the heat on upstairs in my house. I put my heat on 68 degrees downstairs, and we are toasty throughout the whole house all day and night. The guys who came to do the attic were so thorough and understanding. I was able to see every step of the process and make sure everything was done correctly. They were very clean and made sure to finish the job in the time frame allotted. Steve, you have no idea how much I appreciate all that you have done for me. You have shown me that there are still honest hard working people in the world. If I ever need anymore work done on my house, I know I would contact you. Thank you, Nadia Hakim

Attic Insulation and Air Sealing in Sandy Hook, CT

Donald S. of Newtown, CT called Dr. Energy Saver of Connecticut about a discomfort in his home during these hot summer months. We sent out one of our best Home Energy Specialists, Steve Machnicz, who studied every inch of the attic and located problematic areas throughout the home that could be the culprits of their home losing conditioned air. He communicated with the homeowner about their attic being improperly insulated with fiberglass batts and the air ducts leaking their conditioned air into the attic and being warmed by the hot air in the space. He also noted that the garage had an uninsulated ceiling that was making the room above incredibly hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The homeowner and Steve worked out a few fool-proof solutions that will make his home much more comfortable and energy efficient!

We sent out the trusted crew lead by Clive Burrell who quickly got to work. They began by removing the existing insulation in the attic and using an expanding sprayable foam to air seal the entirety of the attic. . The ducts originally were incredibly leaky, which meant the homeowners were spending money conditioning air and losing it in the hot attic! Their next step was to install blown-in TruSoft Cellulose insulation into the attic. They then densely packed the garage cielings with TruSoft Cellulose as well.

The homeowner couldn’t be happier with his home’s transformation and is looking forward to increased comfort and future savings!

    Crawlspace Encapsulation in Glastonbury, CT

A crawl space under this Glastonbury, CT’s first-floor bedroom was created when the original owners of the house put on an addition. The space had a dirt floor and vents to the outdoors. A number of years ago, the homeowners hired someone to insulate the crawl space. Insulation was installed on all of the surfaces and covered with plastic. When the homeowners checked the condition of the crawl space in the early summer, they discovered that the insulation was moldy and falling down, the vents were rotted (allowing access to the house by critters of all sizes), and the space had very high humidity. The homeowners couldn't call us fast enough!

A full encapsulation of the crawl space was a necessity. CleanSpace was installed on top of the dirt floor to prevent moisture from seeping through. The SilverGlo panels were placed on the wall to act as a radiant barrier. Lastly, a SaniDry dehumidifier was installed to keep humidity below 55%. Now, with this full crawl space encapsulation and a SaniDry dehumidifier installed by our company, the homeowners now have a clean, dry, critter-free space under their bedroom!
