This Norwalk basement was not properly insulated. Traditional batt insulation is not sufficient because it still allows air to travel through the walls and upstairs floors to get cold.

The rim joists of the walls were originally not insulated, which was a main factor of why the floors felt cold in the living areas of the home.

Spray foam is the superior choice for this home to keep the entire area insulated and to prevent unwanted airflow. Now, there are no more drafts and the living area of the home is much more comfortable.
